I had your blogger site in my feed for the longest time and noticed it hasn't been updated. I probably hit "mark all read" and therefore missed your last post over there. But on to the post, I can completely relate with you. I've been a SAHM for...3 months now and the amount of housework I can't seem to finish frustrates me so much. So does the inconsistencies of my day. Some days, my son won't nap. Other days, he'll marathon it. And on the days where he doesn't, NOTHING gets done around here. I miss working. Part of me even feels that I contribute more to the household when I am working. But congratulations to you on landing a great job and having the situation work out perfectly! I can definitely relate to many of your mixed feelings. I've been looking for a full-time position but am also ambivalent about it in some ways. My husband's layoff has taken away some of that ambivalence, but it has also made me realize how nice it is to have one parent who is truly a SAHP (since I've usually been working part-time at several different jobs while being the "primary" parent).
