I’m a Canadian expat living in Switzerland. It’s been 9 years so far and I’ve honestly grown to love it. The first few years were rocky at best so I completely relate to what you’re experiencing.
I’m fluent in French but knew ZERO German when I moved here. It was a slow process of on and off learning. I’m finally in a pretty decent place with it but hey, there’s always room for improvement. In any event, if I can do it, anyone can.;) All the best.

Hey Blythe, I’ve commented a couple times, but just thought I’d let you know I am a regular. And I’m pregnant in Germany now too (12 weeks) so I depend on your posts about pregnancy!
